Ian Calpin Landscape Services Help Stirling Park Shine for Yorkshire in Bloom

The team at Ian Calpin Landscape Services were out in force at Stirling Park, Clifton Moor, York, for a dedicated Yorkshire in Bloom preparation day – joining forces with property managers JLL and Bellrock to bring the business park’s green spaces up to competition standard.

The day saw the team tackle a full programme of landscape maintenance across the park, with beds cleared, borders tidied, hedges trimmed and planting refreshed throughout.

The results speak for themselves – the before and after photographs show beautifully presented flower beds bursting with colour, neatly maintained hedging, and well-kept lawns creating a smart and welcoming environment for the park’s tenants and visitors.

One of the highlights of the day was the introduction of Ian Calpin’s brand new all-electric Goupil vehicle, making its debut at Stirling Park. The zero-emission utility vehicle is a tangible sign of the company’s commitment to more sustainable grounds maintenance practices – a value that sits well alongside the ethos of Yorkshire in Bloom itself.

The work also included new tree planting along the perimeter of the site, with young saplings carefully staked and protected, adding to the long-term green credentials of the park. With tenants including York Foodbank among those based at Stirling Park, maintaining an attractive and well cared for environment is something the whole community can take pride in.

Yorkshire in Bloom is one of the most prestigious horticultural competitions in the region, and preparation days like this are a vital part of ensuring sites present at their very best when judges visit. It was a fantastic collaborative effort – and a great showcase of what dedicated grounds maintenance can achieve.
